My 13-year-old grandson is very pleased.
My grandson loves reading about wars in which the US was involved. He says this is different from his usual readings and is very interesting.
I primarily collect stamps, Since doing that I have begun to get into history regarding many of the stamps I own. I am interested in the history of certain time eras of stamps I own. The holocaust may not be forgotten. Is this the book for that, I do not know yet as I'm not done however I love it. Its laid out in short stories making it easy to come back to if you must put it down. I have read several other books about this time and continue to want to learn more. The book Adolph Hitler Vol.1 had too much tactical details, Scott Turows' Ordinary Heros was also excellent about this time and how folks lived. Its all about what you're interested in. I am enjoying following the time line as the book is laid out and the questions it leaves you to ponder. I will mention I'm a 40 something woman. Man or woman will enjoy this book. Never forget all that can be learned from history and I feel thats what I'm doing all over again. Great price for a hard bound book as well. But it seems to be printed in a type of newsprint.
Don't judge a book by it's cover
I bought this book as a gift for a WW11 veteran. It has not been given to him yet, so I am unable to comment fairly.
