With one pie 'under my belt' I offer these comments: This is a good item for guys to test waters of pie baking. Screen bottom claims to eliminate soggy bottoms -- and who wants a soggy bottom? I used store-bought pie dough & two cans of peach pie filling and the result was edible - even the missus approved! Learned you should not cut pie while it is warm because the pie filling liquid will seep thru the screen bottom & make mess. Also, use dull table knife to cut pie and be very careful of the screen bottom. A cherry pie is next & will overnite in fridge before cutting to prevent filling liquid from seeping and to firm up crust for cleaner cutting:-) I also used a shield over the crust edges, which worked nicely. Next pie will probably cook a little longer & have melted butter brushed across top, sugar sprinkled etc. Martha Stewart, eat your heart out!

Didn't "crisp" bottom crust as I had hoped.
Someone told me a dark, glass pie pan may do better.
The concept is good
To Bake pies !. The crust bakes evenly. The Pie dish is too shallow, and flimsy.
won't last long
this pie pan has worked pretty good, so far. However, it is very flimsy, and won't last very long. The screen bottom has a tendency to rust.

This is the best Pie Pan ever. My Husband loved my pie this time. He couldn't get over the Crust. Finally it was evenly back all over.
GOOD IDEA - NEEDS TWEEKING IN DESIGN
The materials used are of poor and cheap quality, but it works. However those who bake a lot will have to replace more frequently than they should. Would suggest that they redesign so that the rim is made of a different material that does not burn the edge of the pie crust and the bottom have a stronger mesh

I am amazed on how this item works. No more soggy crust. I use it on all my pie so that there is ventilation. I even bought another one. This is a must buy.
Made Strawberry Rhubarb pie and this tin was very useful for the bottom crust not being soggy. The only drawback is that it is not very deep.
Bought this for my dad, the baker. He really loved the pie pan and what it did for his perfect pie crust.
Single crust pies
You have to be careful on single crust pies where the mesh wire is the pie crust gets dark very quick.
I have had problems in the past with custard pies. The bottom crust never baked all the way. With this pie pan, that is no longer an issue. I am happy I found the pan in time for Thanksgiving Pumpkin pies.
