not so GOOD grass seed
Planted 3 weeks ago ,covered with burlap watered morning and night only half of grass grew added other grass seed and it started growing in one week.
Placed grass seed 3/29/2018 On muddy flood prone walkway. Still nothing growing. Have ordered the Canada grass again. Will try again. Was disappointed with the outcome
I SPREaD THE SEED AND COVERED IT WITH STRAW AND WATERED IT. GOT A LOT OF RAIN. STILL NO GRASS.
Grass Seed that Works!
We've tried many types of grass seed from our local stores, ground prep, watered 2 times a day with little success much less durability. We have both sun & shade. My husband was skeptical but this seed really does work. Our backyard has never looked better even though we had a barbecue with everyone walking all over the grass, it bounced right back. My husband did water generously & I'm sure that helped. All I know is our yard looks better than it ever has. As with anything, a little attention is worth the effort.
so far so good
up and growing
I love this grass seed; it's the best I've ever used
Fastest growing grasseed I ever used.Been using it for 5 yrs
Had problem using regular grass seed ordered this an instant green. Thank YOU.
Still waiting for it to grow. It just sprouted so can't comment.
Not worth the money
I planted this grass seed exactly following the direction. Hardly any has grown.
Looks great, stays green all winter in upstate N.Y.
Already sown & "is growing" Love it.
I'm back for more!
Had an area of the backyard that was overgrown with weeds and tree vines. Early fall we cleared the space did a light tilling and spread and watered the grass seed. It sprouted within 4 days and. In the spring we had the nicest thickest weed free grass! Our neighbor came over and said I WANT that grass. Its going on 2 years and it is thicker and better than ever. Amazing for our cold Zone 4 winters! Ready for the next lawn project and going to order more !
Throw around to start grass or revitalize lawn. Simple to use. Probably should be used up promptly, based upon performance of leftover seed that didn't sprout.
Hope springs eternal.
Probably will not purchase again. Doesn't matter how sustainable it is,if it is difficult to root and thrive to begin with.
I planted the seed as directed, watered as directed, but to no avail ,nothing grew. not one blade of grass came up. Please refund my money.
We planted our canada grass in the fall zone 4. We had a shady area that had a lot of over growth. We cleared the area tilled the dirt and put the seed down. We didnt amend the soil no special prep etc. We kept the area moist and within a week we had grass coming up and its been going strong every since. It has survived drought conditions and severe winter conditions with no special treatment. LOVE this stuff. Back to get more and work on the next section of our yard.
PUT SEEDS DOWN AND IT DID NOT WORK ON MY GRASS AT ALL, A BIG WASTE OF MONEY.
don't know yet
Spread two weeks ago, it hasn't yet come up. But I have watering restrictions and it has rained twice and I've watered the lawn twice.
The grass has already started growing. It's not Saint Augustine grass but it'll do to cover up the small patches where I needed new grass. I don't water very often, but for the few times that I have watered since planting the grass, it has taken roots. It serves it's purpose. Would buy again if I needed more.
Prepped a small area of the yard to see how well it would work. Planted seed in an area that gets morning sun only and watered daily. Had grass growing in less than five days and it is still coming up. Nice looking grass, just need to see how well it does during the heat of summer and the cold of winter.
not what I thought it would be
would not advise purchase to friends, doesn't meet expectations, poor coverage, thin strands, if not water every few days strands lay over in a mat. makes yard look cheap
quick growing grass
I tried three times before I was successful. For grass seeds in my zone (5b) I found the following method works: * mix 2 parts soil with 1 part seed * lightly till soil (1 inch deep) * put 1/3 inch layer of seed mix on soil * cover with 1/4 inch soil * water lightly 2 to 4 times a day until sprouts are 1/2 inch (sprouts usually appear 4 days after sowing) * water once a day for about 4 days * water once a week for 1 month * After a month grass becomes hardy and lush However, it is necessary to use it in one season. I put some aside and tried to grow it the next year and it took a month to sprout and there was less.
Was hesitant of buying this product but my husband and I are sooo glad we did! We didn't have the time to purchase soil, all we did was break the ground, distribute the seed all over the yard and waited till it rained. My husband lightly watered the lawn ONCE and 5 days later the grass was growing in! It was about 3-5 inches high! The only downside is that it doesn't spread througout the yard, where the seed lands that's where it stays n grows. At first we bought two bags, then one. We will have to buy 1 more bag to fill-in the patches where it didn't grow which are not many. Very happy we bought this product!
grows where other grass doesn't
I have used Canada Green before and half my lawn is like a golf green in a neighborhood where no one can grow grass. Last year I planted the other half of the lawn, but the bag must have been bad and the grass came up but died quickly. I am now planting seed again and so far the grass is coming up beautifully.
[...] just waiting for the seed to sprout then I am sure I will give it a much better rating when I see it.
Looking good so far.
Just planted the grass seeds last week. It is just coming-up now. Looks like most of the seeds are coming-up. Have to wait till the hot weather hits it to see how good it is.
GREAT GRASS !!
I have been using this grass for years on several of my homes. It works in Sand. It works in Clay. I am sending some to my sister and niece for their yards too. Great product!!!!!
This is the best grass seed ever!
I planted the seed in areas where all I got was weeds. The grass came in like a golf green. It was so thick and healthy, weeds could not grow in it!
